Mr. Cree, 75, Glasgow, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his home following a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born February 12, 1943 in Blandburg, a son of the late Charles B. and Maxine C. (Barnett) Cree. On January 20,
1961, in Glasgow, he married Judy E. North who survives along with three children Clark C. (Sheryl) Cree of Glasgow, Corinne
C. "Cook" (Fred) Heverly of Altoona and Cory C. (Iris) Cree of Ebensburg, eight grandchildren Kelsey Henry, Tyler
Jenny, Ethan Cree, Neil Heverly, Nicole Ritchey, Nina Heverly, Toby Cree and Rebecca Cree and three great-granddaughters Ella,
Sophie and Blaire and two brothers Robert C. Cree of Mechanicsburg, and Gene E. Cree of Turbotville, Also surviving is an
uncle Harry L. Cree of Altoona.
George graduated from Reade Twp. High School, began his career as a land surveyor in 1962 and became a licensed registered
land surveyor in 1970. In 1973 he established Cree Surveying from which he retired in October 2016. He was a member of the
ASCM and PSLS, and was a past vice president of the PA Skeet Shooting Association of which he was a member of its All-State
Team for several years and entered its Hall of Fame in 2010. He was also a member of the NRA.
He was a member of the Allemansville United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held Sunday, October
21, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Clare Pannebaker officiating. Friends will be received Saturday 3-8 pm at McQuown Funeral
Home, Glasgow and at the church Sunday from 1:00 pm until the hour of services. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
