Peter A. Corey |
Mr. Corey, 68, Roots Crossing died Friday, October 5, 2018 at UPMC-Altoona from injuries sustained in a lawnmower accident
earlier in the week. He was born February 15, 1950 in Caribou, Maine, a son of the late Paul J. and Maxine P. (Rohl) McDougal
Corey. On July 22, 1972, in Eureka, CA. he married Bobbin Wiener who survives along with four children Matt A. (Beth) Corey
and Esma S. Corey, both of Duncansville, Dan P. (Taryn) Corey of Port Matilda and Tamara H. (Rob) Ferguson of Bradford. Also
surviving are six grandchildren Luke, Daniel, Liam, Tyler, Aran and Ian and a sister Sandra Burd of Nashville, Michigan.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Paul.
Peter was self-employed as a housing rental manager and was a member of Journey Church, Altoona, the NRA and the
MLNRA. He enjoyed woodworking, leathercrafting and raising chickens. He served the in US Army as a Private 1st Class during
the Vietnam war.
Family and friends are invited to the 2 pm memorial services Saturday, October 27, 2018 at New Life Assembly of God
Worship Center, Ritz Road, Altoona. Pastor Jeremiah Baker will officiate. The Blair County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct
military honors at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contribution, in Peter's name to Freedom House complete
address will follow. Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
