Mrs. Kovaloski, 97, Blandburg, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at UPMC-Altoona. Born February 11, 1920 in Riggles
Gap she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Corinna (Hostler) Butterbaugh. On February 13, 1945, in Tonopah, NV., she
married Michael V. Kovaloski who died December 31, 1975. Surviving are three children Michael R. (Carol) Kovaloski of Irvona,
Victor F. (Karen) Kovaloski of Altoona and Mary L. (Terry) Hamilton of Coalport. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and
thirteen great-grandchildren, a brother Dick Butterbaugh of Bellwood and her very special friend Sharon Kuhn. She was also
preceded in death by a daughter Teresa Hamilton, a son Donald, three sisters Lala Seilhamer, Zella Keller and Zelda Rinker
and two brothers Jim and Fred.
Irene had been employed as an assembler for James Industries, beginning in Bellwood and then moving to Hollidaysburg.
She had been a member of the former St. Richard's Catholic Church, Blandburg and enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo.
Friends will be received Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow where funeral
services will be held Monday at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
