| Julia A. Beers |
Mrs. Beers, 76, Lyleville, died Monday, October 31, 2016 at UPMC-Altoona. Born July 9, 1940 in St. Benedict, she was a
daughter of the late Joseph E. and M. Geraldine (Boring) Glass. Surviving are three sons Edward A. Beers and Mark A. Beers,
both of New Castle and Richard L. Beers of Lyleville, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren (and one on the way) and
four siblings Lillian Williams, Mildred Kutruff, Donald Glass and Robert Glass all of Coalport. She was also preceded in
death by a brother Joseph "Sonny" Glass.
Julia was a member of the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She was a graduate of B.C.I. High School,
had worked in the rating department at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., New Castle and performed clerical work at the former
Irvona Water Co.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Coalport C&MA Church with Pastor Isaac Stuart
officiating Burial was in Lyleville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make all memorial contributions to the Coalport
C&MA Church.
