Evan J. Belin

Mr. Belin, 43, Irvona, died unexpectedly Friday, September 6, 2013 at UPMC-Altoona emergency department. He was born July 15, 1970, in Warren, PA., a son of the late James Belin and Patsy E. (Bickford) Adam of Coalport. On October 31, 2001, in Pennington, NJ. He married Janice E. Gauck who died July 30, 2009. Surviving are his mother, a daughter Victoria Rose Belin of Irvona and a half-brother Scott Belin of Emporium. He was also preceded in death by a stepfather Lynn Adam.

Evan was a 1990 graduate of Glendale High School, had been employed at PPG Industries, Tipton, and was a former member of the Reade Volunteer Fire Co., was an active member of the Irvona Volunteer Fire Co. where he currently held the position of Chief Engineer, and was a member of the fire company’s Fire Police unit. He also had formerly been an EMT for several area ambulance companies.

He had attended the Coalport Presbyterian Church where a memorial service will be held Saturday September 14, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Roland Emond officiating.
