Mary L. Wigfield

 

     Mrs. Wigfield, 89, Flinton and formerly of Hopewell, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at her son Robert’s home with her family by her side.  Born August 13, 1925 in Everett a daughter of the late William and Lydia (Stayer) Redinger.  On July 20, 1945 in Everett she married Webster Reid Wigfield who died August 20, 1980.  Surviving are seven children Victor (Shirley) Redinger of Scottsdale, Nancy (Albert) Kline and William (Linda) Wigfield both of Everett, Donna (Michael) Rubeck of Bowling Green, IN., Becky (Randy) Ramsey of Hopewell, Sandra Wigfield of Stafford, VA. and Robert (Melanie) Wigfield of Flinton and with whom she resided, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a brother John (Karen) Redinger of Everett.  She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, two brothers Earl and Dave and three sisters Jean Snyder, Betty Steele and Doris Browell.

     She was a member of the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren, Hopewell.  She retired in 1992 as a cook at Northern Bedford Elementary School.  She liked to spend time with her family, enjoyed baking and her dog Missy.

     Friends will be received 4-8 pm Tuesday and 11:00 am until the noon services at the Akers Funeral Home, Everett.  Pastor  David Hersh will officiate and burial will be in Everett Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Yellow Creek Church of The Brethren, Hopewell.  Funeral arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
