| John R. Myers, Sr. |
Mr. Myers, 71, Tyrone, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born September
24, 1946 in Fallentimber a son of the late Robert B. and Nancy M. (Perino) Myers. On April 15, 1989, in Tyrone, he married
Diana K. (Clark) Oakes who survives along with two sons John R. (Krystle) Myers, Jr. of Fallentimber and Michael D. Myers
of Duncansville and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are two stepdaughters Kari E. (Donnie) Peterson of Spruce Creek and
Nikki C. Oakes of Tyrone and two sisters Diane L. Kelley of Altoona and Bobbie Slovikosky of Cresson. He was also preceded
in death by a daughter Edwina.
John was a graduate of Reade Twp. High School and retired in 2008 as an over-the-road trucker driving primarily for
Davidson Bros Trucking of Bellefonte. He enjoyed being a truckdriver, going camping and woodworking. But, he most enjoyed
his family.
Friends will be received Monday, September 24, 2018, from 5-8 pm with funeral services interjected at 7 pm at McQuown
Funeral Home, Glasgow. Pastor Ben Warfel will officiate.
