Craig A. Hepfer

Mr. Hepfer, 52, Lyleville, died Monday January 16, 2017 at his residence following a battle with cancer. He was born February 5, 1964, in Clearfield a son of Donald E. and Beverly A. (Reed) Hepfer. On December 24, 1984, in Coalport, he married Christine A. Reitmyer who died October 8, 2016. Surviving is his mother of Coalport, two children Mandi J. Hepfer and her friend Johnny Jenkins of Altoona and Travis L. (Jeannie Walters) Hepfer of Coalport, two grandsons Troy Hepfer and Mark Landeck, Jr. and three siblings Jeffrey S. Hepfer of Coalport and Velvet A. Hepfer and Eugenna D. Mabie both of Orlando, FL. He was also preceded in death by his father.

Craig had served as a Staff Sargent in the United States Army being stationed in Germany during the Persian Gulf War and was a life member and past Commander of the Richard L. Beers VFW Post #7043. He earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1981 and was and assistant Boy Scout Leader for Troop 10 at Center Grove United Methodist Church. He had attended the Glendale Assembly of God Church.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2017 and Thursday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Pastor Rich Maher will officiate and the Richard L. Beers VFW Post #7043 will conduct military honors. SCI-Houtzdale will stand in honor at the funeral home.
